As a young man, Frederick Bennett joined DeMolay International with four high school classmates. The youth order experience led him down a Masonic path that now spans three-quarters of a century - and counting.

75 Year Mason Fred BennettA California native, Bennett was a student of Polytechnic High School in San Francisco when he joined DeMolay, one of the largest youth fraternities in the world. He went on to join Masonry at age 22 and was raised at Crocker Lodge No. 212 (then No. 454) in Daly City.

Now 97, Bennett’s tie to Masonry has extended to his son, Alexander Bennett, a member of Columbia-Brotherhood Lodge No. 370 in San Francisco. Grand Master Larry L. Adamson presented a 75-year pin to Frederick Bennett in February at a gathering of friends and fraternal family members.
